2006 Rules

The following rules apply to the submission and change of drivers during the season:

1. If a driver is unable to take part in a race (through injury or other means) then any affected player will be awarded points from the replacement driver used by the team. If no driver is used then the player will be awarded no points.

The following rules define how points are awarded:

1. 1st and 2nd Drivers, Teams and Chassis will be awarded points for finishing in the following places:
   1. 10 points
   2. 8 points
   3. 6 points
   4. 5 points
   5. 4 points
   6. 3 points
   7. 2 points
   8. 1 point
2. The difference between a Drivers start (qualifying) and finish position will added (or subtracted) from the drivers points total (This applies to Drivers only). If a driver incurs a penalty, such as but not limited to starting in the pitlane or having an engine change, and successfully qualifies, the original qualification position will be used for calculation.
3. A bonus of 5 points will be awarded to any driver that qualifies on pole position and starts the race from the first position on the grid.
4. A penalty of 5 points will be deducted for any driver that starts from the pit lane, does not start, incurs an engine, fails to have a classified finishing position or any other penalty.
5. The qualification and finish positions will be taken from the official Formula 1 website.
